Kent County Chamber of Commerce Elects Three New Members to the Board of Directors

The Kent County Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome three new members to its board of directors:  Melissa Haber, Andrew Lane, and Thaddeus Moore.  All three new members were elected to serve a three year term, starting this month.

Melissa Haber

Melissa Haber, the Chief Financial Officer for the Gunston School, brings a wealth of experience in finance, operations and nonprofit management.  Haber holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from University of South Carolina and a Masters of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University.      

“As the CFO at Gunston, I proudly serve families of Kent County and have been a resident of Chestertown for the past seven years. I have greatly enjoyed raising my children here and I hope to assist in ensuring the same for families in generations to come.” said Haber. 

Drew Lane

Andrew “Drew” Lane, the Assistant Vice President of Procurement for Dixon Valve & Coupling Co., has an extensive background in reducing costs, increasing quality of services, and in creating productive and enduring partnerships.  Lane holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from University of Maryland, College Park.  

“I am positive that my local knowledge, connection to the community, and core values will be an asset to the Chamber,” said Lane. “I would like to be of service and help better the people and businesses of Kent County, which have been such a large part of my life.

Thad Moore

Thaddeus “Thad” Moore, the Associate Vice President & Director of Athletics at Washington College, provides experience in leadership, mentoring, research and operations.  Moore holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Salisbury University and a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Sports Management from University of Connecticut.

“Working at Washington College and living in and around Chestertown for the last 23 years I'm looking forward to giving back to a place I call home,” said Moore. “I will do all I can to continue to support and grow organizations thoroughout Kent County.”

Haber, Lane and Moore join other members of the Chamber Board: Meghan Livie, President; Brian Moore, Vice President; Karyn Dustin, Treasurer; Barbara Foster, Past-President; and Board of Directors members: Steven Atkinson, Zane Carter, Genevieve Croker, Andrew Gillespie, Joseph Goetz, Kevin Shearon, and Kate Van Name.
