RiverArts invites all to enjoy a celebration of its 10th anniversary at !magine: RiverArts Street Festival, Sunday, September 11, 1:00 - 6:00, High Street in Chestertown. Visitors of all ages will have opportunities to participate in the creation of art and to appreciate the art of others.
Artists will be selling their work and festival goers will be invited to help create larger art projects including a paper garden mural, a yarnstormed tree , a sound wall, a Faith Wilson stenciled mural on the Twigs and Teacups construction barrier, painted panels for a mural installation among other opportunities. Competitions include the most imaginative sculpture, the best Quick Draw painting, and the Best Festival Photo.
Enjoy the fanciful sculptures on display down the middle of High Street, a local calliope and antique bells, an exhibit of People Worth Knowing, KidSPOT, Clay Studio and ArtsAlive activities galore, a preview of public art sculptures soon to be installed in the community along with good food, drink and music.
