Rejoice with refreshing flavors of summer at Brampton Inn’s exquisite summer Afternoon Tea.
Passionate tea drinkers rejoice! The Brampton Inn is inviting locals and heritage travelers to Afternoon Tea on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 1:30 p.m., the first in a series of seasonal tea-inspired events.
Inducted into the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and a member of Select Registry since 2001, the Brampton Inn was a family farm for over 127 years before being transformed into an inn. Its tradition of serving afternoon tea to guests began in 1987 as the property was meticulously restored to maintain its historic details.
In 2020, Hilari and Dave Rinehart finalized the purchase of the inn and quietly began a multi-year renovation plan, preserving the home’s historic features and turning it into a distinctive historic hotel. Building renovations included the addition of the Renaissance Garden, “a multi-tiered stone terrace, that expands our capacity and creates a fluid space between indoors and outdoors that our visitors will love,” explained Hilari Rinehart.
Stepping onto the Renaissance Garden, visitors and guests can soak in the tranquil oasis while enjoying Afternoon Tea, surrounded by brilliant roses, boxwood and summer annuals provide a quiet nook for adults and children celebrating a special occasion or looking for a weekend respite.
At Brampton’s Afternoon Tea, classical music by award-winning pianist, Michael Casey, sets the tone in the background. On the menu are house-made delicate finger sandwiches, scones, and decadent desserts. In addition to an assortment of freshly brewed Harney & Sons Fine Tea or unsweetened iced tea, each guest is served a flute of champagne to toast the occasion. For children (ages three to nine), the menu features a selection of Harney & Sons tea, lemonade or apple juice, served with a selection of tea sandwiches, traditional scones and sweet treats.
This Afternoon Tea is prix fixe at $45 per person (not including fees, tax and gratuity) and $20 per child. Reservations are required by Friday, July 28tth and may be made by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com/e/afternoon-tea-at-brampton-inn-tickets-675692633857. No walk-in will be accepted.
