Chester River Chorale 2026-2027 Kaleidoscope Season Offers Inspiration and New Opportunities!

Shaped by water and time

Welcome to the Chester River Chorale’s (CRC) 2026-2027 Kaleidoscope season! Like a kaleidoscope transforming small fragments of color and light into intricate and ever-changing patterns, we will synthesize multiple ensembles, musical styles, and thematic programs.

This season introduces Aurora, our new treble (soprano and alto) ensemble, performing two choral programs each season. The fall semester focuses on exploring color and light. The Colors of Christmas concerts, by the CRC and the Chester Chamber Singers, will feature festive orchestral and choral works centered on holiday traditions. Aurora with the Chester Chamber Singers will present Illuminate, with treble repertoire and chamber works focused on themes like stars, candlelight, and winter light.

The spring semester shifts toward themes of reflection, renewal, and transformation. The CRC and Chester Chamber Singers will use the imagery of sea glass—shaped by water and time—to explore themes of memory, change, and journeys with Sea Glass & Song concerts. All Things New, performed by Aurora and the Chester Chamber Singers, marks the completion of Aurora’s first season by celebrating new beginnings and growth.

Under the direction of Artistic Director Alexis Ward and Assistant Director and Pianist Stephanie LaMotte, the 2026-2027 season celebrates the diversity of CRC's programming and its continued growth including our Choral Scholars Program a selective, year-long leadership and scholarship initiative for student singers within the CRC.

Mark your calendars now for our December and April concerts and experience the Kaleidoscope season!
