Students and community members are invited this month to a fair at Kent County High School geared toward career planning.
On Thursday, April 20, Kent County Public Schools and the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education (MRBT), with sponsors BW Health Group, the Kent County Chamber of Commerce and the Upper Shore Workforce Investment Board, present the Kent County High School College and Career Fair.
Free and open to students in grades 9 through 12 and to the community, the College and Career Fair will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the high school's Trojan Arena.
More than 75 organizations including colleges and trade schools, businesses, nonprofit organizations, branches of the military and more will be on hand.
They will have booths to share information about full-time, part-time and seasonal work, as well as future education pathways and volunteer opportunities.
"We’re excited to welcome so many organizations to KCHS to meet, network and share opportunities with students," said Aundra Anderson, coordinator of MRBT's Next Generation Scholars program at the high school. "I can’t wait to see the connections students are able to make and the relationships we can continue to steward with local professionals."
Kent County High School is located at 25301 Lambs Meadow Road, Worton.
