Expanded Role Announced for UM SRH’s Zack Royston

Zack Royston, Vice President, Rural Health Care Transformation and Executive Director, UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown.

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UM SRH), a member organization of the University of Maryland Medical System, recently announced an expanded role for Zack Royston, Vice President, Rural Health Care Transformation and Executive Director, UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown.

 “In an era of rapid change in health care - marked by an increasing responsibility for improving the health and wellness of the populations served - UM Shore Regional Health is intentionally leveraging local expertise to support our continued success,” said Ken Kozel, President, UM SRH.

Royston now has oversight of Population Health in addition to his Rural Health responsibilities and his leadership of the Chestertown campus. In this expanded capacity, Royston serves as the key executive overseeing Shore's Population Health, Case Management, Community Health and value-based care initiatives. 

“Zack’s prior experience as UMMS Director of Clinical Integration for Population Health Services positions him well to help lead this important transformation,” said Kozel.
