Figg’s Ordinary To Enter Union Kitchen’s Accelerator Program

Figg’s Ordinary, LLC is thrilled to announce that Union Kitchen, a Washington, D.C. - based food business accelerator, has accepted Figg’s Ordinary into its accelerator program. The selective Accelerator Program provides comprehensive hands-on and highly targeted training and guidance to carefully-vetted food businesses, like Figg’s Ordinary, on the cusp of scaling their business to the next level of operation.

Ingrid Hansen, Owner and CEO of Figg’s Ordinary, notes, “Figg’s has been enormously successful over the past few years and we are ready to scale-up to meet increasing demand for our fabulous products. As an Accelerator Program member, Figg’s Ordinary will benefit from the sophisticated expertise of Union Kitchen staff in achieving our goal to make Figg’s Ordinary a nationally-recognized brand as soon as possible.”

As an Accelerator Program member, the Figg’s Ordinary team will be the beneficiaries of the highly targeted, food-specific experience of over 100-young food companies that Union Kitchen has launched into the next phase of business operations. Started in 2012, Union Kitchen’s large D.C. facility is devoted to helping food entrepreneurs master the complexities of starting, commercializing, and growing their food businesses. It has been highly successful in assisting food entrepreneurs leverage the marketing power of Accelerator Program members to achieve favorable distribution conditions and store shelf placements. According to Hansen “by being part of a community of food entrepreneurs, we are able build our brand better, and achieve greater market presence faster.”
