Kent County Public Schools is seeking input from families, community members and staff on draft academic calendars for 2026-27.
There are three drafts under review by the Kent County Board of Education. A community survey with the draft calendars can be found online at: https://tinyurl.com/9bdakha4.

The school system's Calendar Committee opened an initial survey in December and accepted responses through early January.

That survey sought input on community priorities like start date, length of breaks throughout the year and the last day of school. Using the results of that survey, the committee prepared three different calendar drafts.
This latest survey seeks the community's input on which of the three calendar drafts for the 2026-27 is the preferred option.

The Board of Education has the final vote on the school calendar.
