Kent County Public Schools started the fall off celebrating those staff members who reached career milestones and the Teacher of the Year.
In the days before the school year officially started, staff joined together in the Kent County High School auditorium for a Length of Service Awards presentation.
"Congratulations to all our employees who were recognized for their service to Kent County Public Schools," said Superintendent Dr. Karen Couch. "We are very lucky to have such loyal and outstanding employees in our school system."
This year's staff honorees are:

In addition, Teacher of the Year Jessie McGee received the keys to a new Ford Edge from Hertrich Ford of Elkton.
Michael Croce, general manager of the Hertrich Group, was on hand for the presentation.
McGee teaches at Galena Elementary School. She was named Kent County Public Schools' Teacher of the Year in the spring.
