On Tuesday, May 23 at 4 pm, there will be a ceremony on the front lawn of 400 High Street, Chestertown to celebrate and honor the fallen for Memorial Day 2023.
The ceremony will also unveil a temporary public art installation of a field of more than 400 Ceramic Poppies created by students at Kent County High School and potters and crafts people from all over Kent County.
The ceremony will also feature a performance of "In Flanders Field", a traditional song about the Poppies that grew in Flanders Field in Belgium among the bodies of the soldiers lost during World War I.
