Several Kent School students have recently earned awards in academic areas. First, on Saturday, March 26, Fourth Grade student Miles Hubbert won the Maryland Sports Spelling Bee. Eighth Grade student Harrison Lavery was the runner up.
Enrollment Registration for the Garfield's Playmakers Camp Begins March 28
Registration for the Garfield Center for the Arts summer theatre camp, Playmakers, will begin Monday, March 28 online at garfieldcenter.org/camps/. Registration will be accessible starting promptly at 8:00 AM that morning.
Kent School Welcomes Guest Authors
Kent School will start the Spring season by welcoming authors to its campus on April 1 and again on April 8. First, Sheila Bair, former chair of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and former President of Washington College will share her series of children's books with students in Grades 3 through 8.

Kent School to host Poet and Author, Elizabeth Spires
On Friday, October 22, Kent School will host Elizabeth Spires, as a Kudner Leyon Visiting Writer for workshops with students in Kindergarten through Grade Eight. Ms. Spires is the author of several children's books and several volumes of poetry which have received a variety of awards and recognitions.
