The Board of Directors of Rebuilding Together Kent County is pleased to announce the appointment of Genevieve Croker as Executive Director, effective March 1, 2022. She succeeds Wayne Rickert who took a position in Rebuilding Together’s national office to work with volunteer-led affiliates across the country.
Safer Steps Mean Safer Homes for Two Rock Hall Residents
On Friday the 11th and Saturday the 19th of February, Rebuilding Together Kent County volunteers worked hard to make it safer for two neighbors to get in and out of their homes. Originally scheduled for the Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., bad weather forced the two projects to be postponed.

Five Dedicated Volunteers Braved the Heat to Help a Neighbor Age Safely in Her Home
On Saturday, July 17th, volunteers Rachel Carter, Richard Edwards, Lisa Roemer, Amy Sine, and Candy Tyrell worked alongside Rebuilding Together’s Construction Manager, Scott Brewer, from 8:00 am until noon to construct a wheelchair ramp for Mrs. Scott. Despite the high temperatures and humidity, everyone maintained a cheerful, can-do attitude and the crew ended up getting much further than anticipated.
Rebuilding Together Kent County Volunteers & Partners Help Four Local Families
On Saturday, April 24th volunteers came together to provide needed repairs on four homes in Butlertown. Ranging from replacing a rotten fence and dangerous steps to installing native plants and painting a wheelchair ramp, the 22 volunteers worked from 9 until a little after noon to accomplish these projects for neighbors who requested a helping hand.
