Mid-Shore Pro Bono Announces New Internship Program

Mid-Shore Pro Bono announced a new Sandy Brown Public Interest Internship at a Dec. 2 reception to honor Brown, who is stepping down at the end of December after serving for 13 years as the legal assistance network’s Executive Director. Current Mid-Shore Pro Bono Managing Attorney Meredith Lathbury Girard will begin as Executive Director in January 2022.

Mid-Shore Pro Bono’s Board of Directors recently announced Meredith Lathbury Girard will serve as the non-profit’s Executive Director. Girard currently serves as Mid-Shore Pro Bono’s Managing Attorney and will begin as Executive Director when the current director Sandy Brown steps down from the position at the end of 2021.

Mid-Shore Pro Bono announced the addition of four new board members, Ruth Thomas of Preston, Rebecca Burner of Grasonville, Samantha Bowers Welte of Easton and Doncella Wilson of Denton, Maryland. Previous treasurer Timothy Abeska has been named president of the Board of Directors.
