ShoreRivers Concludes First-Ever Watershed Assessment of Bayside Creeks, Kent County
ShoreRivers recently completed a yearlong assessment of the Bayside Creeks watershed, comprising Still Pond, Churn, Worton, and Fairlee Creeks in western Kent County. This was the first time a comprehensive assessment has been conducted for these four waterways, culminating in the Bayside Creeks Watershed Assessment and Action Plan.
Emily Welsh Named Nursing Coordinator of the Mobile Wellness Team at UM Shore Medical Center in Chestertown
Emily Welsh, BSN, RN, has been named Nursing Coordinator of the Mobile Wellness Team based at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. The Mobile Wellness Team collaborates with community partners to bring health care access and support services to Kent County residents in their home and community settings.
UM Shore Regional Health Supports Maryland Food Bank Sites on the Eastern Shore
The University of Maryland Shore Regional Health has partnered with the Maryland Food Bank - Eastern Shore Branch to help address food insecurity challenges impacting local residents, providing a donation of $4,000.
Alystair McKenzie Joins Greenscapes Land Care, LLC as a KCHS Youth Apprentice
Greenscapes Land Care, LLC (Greenscapes) is proud to announce the hiring of Alystair McKenzie, a junior with Kent County High School, Worton, MD, as a Landscape Management Youth Apprentice. This is the second time Greenscapes has hosted a Kent County High School apprentice.
