Friday, December 11, 2020, University of Maryland Shore Regional Health received an ultra-cold freezer purchased by the University of Maryland Medical System for storage of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. UM Shore Regional Health is working with UMMS and our state partners at the Maryland Department of Health to plan for the initial vaccine distribution to our front line health care workers, which we expect will begin this week across the 13-hospital University of Maryland Medical System.
