WCTR Radio Expands Coverage with New Frequency 100.1 FM, Serving Queen Anne’s, Northern Talbot, and Caroline Counties

Chestertown, MD [9-26-25] — WCTR Radio, the Eastern Shore’s locally owned and  independently operated radio station, is proud to announce the expansion of its  broadcast reach with the addition of a new frequency at 100.1 FM. This exciting  development will extend WCTR’s classic hits, community news, weather, sports, and  local programming to listeners across Queen Anne’s County, northern Talbot County,  and Caroline County.

Since first going on the air in 1963, WCTR has been a trusted voice of the Upper  Shore, providing local news, weather reports, community updates, and the music  listeners love. The addition of 100.1 FM builds on that tradition, ensuring that even  more residents can enjoy the programming that makes WCTR a cornerstone of the  region.

“WCTR has always been about connecting the Eastern Shore with local voices and  local stories,” said Leslie Sea, General Manager of WCTR. “Adding 100.1 FM allows us  to bring our classic hits, nautical weather, traffic updates, and local news to even more  communities, while staying true to our independent, community-focused roots.” Listeners can now tune into WCTR on 106.9 FM, 100.1 FM, and 1530 AM, as well as  stream live at www.wctr.com.
