Before there was “The Play That Goes Wrong,” there was Michael Frayn’s “Noises Off!” Well, technically, farce has been around as long as Western theatre has existed - some historians have traced its roots back to Aristophanes. Since then, a whole lot of farce throughout history has brought us slamming doors, mistaken identities and convoluted misunderstandings. But there is some modern farce that stands out above others, and “Noises Off” is one of them.

 Glenda Cornish, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at UM Shore Regional Health (UM SRH), was recently awarded the Mid Shore Nursing Assistant Advisory Council’s CNA of the Year Award. “I am honored and thrilled to be selected as CNA of the Year,” said Cornish. “My profession gives me great joy and I’m proud to be recognized for excellence in patient care.”

Maryann Ruehrmund, CFRE, ACHE, Executive Director and Chief Development Officer of the University of Maryland Chester River Health Foundation (UM CRHF), is retiring this month after nearly three decades of service. UM CRHF raises funds to support quality patient care at University of Maryland Shore Medical at Chestertown, a member organization of University of Maryland Shore Regional Heath (UM SRH) and the University of Maryland Medical System.
