Primary Stroke Center at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton Earns Honors  from American Heart Association

UM Shore Regional Health recently was notified that UM Shore Medical Center at Easton’s Primary Stroke Center received the 2024 Get With The Guidelines®- Stroke Gold Plus with Target: Stroke Award and Rural Stroke Award, which are quality achievement awards presented by the American Heart Association (AHA)/American Stroke Association (ASA). UM SRH’s Primary Stroke Center also is included in the AHA/ASA’s Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll. This is the ninth consecutive year that UM SRH’s Primary Stroke Center has received the Stroke Gold Plus award. This is the first year that the AHA/ASA has awarded the Rural Stroke Award to hospitals.

On Saturday, October 12th, volunteers, friends and homeowners of Rebuilding Together Kent County (RTKC) came together for a “Family Fun Day” on a beautiful autumn afternoon at Piney Grove Farm. Food, drinks, live music and amazing interactions were a wonderful way to celebrate 20 years of the organization helping more homeowners in Kent County live in safe and healthy homes!

For All Seasons recently hosted two Human Trafficking roundtable discussions for professionals in child advocacy, law enforcement, and social services in the Mid-Shore region.  One session took place at the new Talbot County Health Department in Easton for participants from Talbot, Caroline, and Dorchester counties. The second was held at Queen Anne’s County Library for participants in Queen Anne’s and Kent counties.
