Networking Opportunities
Business Networking Social Hour - Occurring monthly, After-Hours Mixers are meet-and-mingle networking events hosted by our members throughout Kent County. These events are fun, engaging, and easy ways to meet with colleagues and potential customers—all in a casual, relaxed setting. To host an After-Hours mixer, contact us today.
Information / Education Events - Throughout the year, the chamber will host education events for members covering a wide variety of topics. These information sessions and educational events will help you elevate your business acumen and connect you to industry experts.
Lunch-and-Learn - This event is a perfect way to showcase the expertise or services your business can offer Chamber members. As a Lunch-and-Learn presenter, you’re invited to deliver a short presentation on the various services your business has to offer to a captive audience. As an attendee, you have the ability to connect directly with an individual or business you are interested in contracting with.
Marketing and Advertising
E-blasts - For an exceptionally affordable price, members can send a promotional e-blast to the chamber subscriber list—sending emails directly to the inbox of business and non-profit leaders. Members can easily track the performance of their blast and monitor key website metrics and analytics. This is the best value for your marketing dollar.
Press Releases - Members can have their press releases published on the chamber’s website and distributed in the chamber’s weekly newsletter. For free. Business Directory - An annual publication, the member business directory lists all member businesses and organizations under the industry or sector they represent. This directory gets mailed to all members and is distributed throughout the community. You can count on your ad being seen by the Kent County business community and the community at large.
New Member Promotion - When new members join the chamber, they will be instructed to fill out and submit a new member questionnaire. Their responses, along with photos they submit, will be published as a blog post under Member Updates and shared on the chamber’s social media pages and newsletter.
$250 Advertising Credits at WTCR Radio - Take advantage of your new chamber membership and get noticed! WTCR Radio, Kent and Queen Anne’s Counties local hometown station, offers to new members a certificate for advertising with the station. The advertising is an opportunity to jumpstart your business by building your brand and promoting your venture to the local community through radio and digital means. The certificate, valued at $250, is free to new chamber members.
Services
Business Assistance - Our staff is available to consult with you regarding most business related issues and to provide you with information on various local, state and federal resources available to assist in resolving your issue. We can also refer you to one or more of our members to provide you with comprehensive and up-to-date business resources and assistance.
Referrals - The chamber receives requests for information on availability of goods and services from local businesses every day. We gladly give referrals ONLY for our Chamber members.
Ribbon Cuttings - Whether it is a new business, a renovated building or space, or relocation—all of these are reasons to celebrate. As a long running service, the chamber coordinates and markets ribbon cutting events for members for fellow members and the public to attend.
Citation of Celebration - Members celebrating business anniversaries ending in ‘0’ or ‘5’ are eligible to receive an official citation of celebration from the Maryland Department of Commerce recognizing the business for their success and staying power. The chamber will work with members celebrating anniversaries to organize a small reception.
Bulk Mailing Privileges - The chamber offers its Bulk Mail Permit exclusively to members to allow them to send large volumes of mail at a more economical rate.
Free Use of Conference Room - A large conference room in the chamber office is made available for members in need of a professional space to host a board meeting or seminar.
