As For All Seasons continues to plan for meeting future community mental health needs on the Mid-Shore, the agency met with economic leaders at its headquarters in Easton. It was an opportunity for leaders to discuss the importance of investing in community mental health and rape crisis services.
“It’s important to share with our statewide leaders the growing demand for our services and to discuss the importance of mental health to the health and resilience of our communities,” stated Beth Anne Dorman, President and CEO of For All Seasons.
Among the leaders For All Seasons staff met with was Comptroller Brooke Lierman who has a track record of supporting mental health and rape crisis services at the state level.
“When I was a state delegate, I passed legislation to create a system of regional navigators for trafficking victims so that they would always have one designated place to go to in their area. It’s really exciting to see the work at For All Seasons, which is the regional navigator on the Shore,” commented Comptroller Lierman.

“We know that wellness and mental health are critical to the success of our local businesses and our economy. Business flourishes not just when workers are healthy, but when their families are healthy and able to cope with stressors. We do right by business when we get behind agencies like For All Seasons,” said Cassandra Vanhooser, Talbot County Economic Development and Tourism Director.
“The stress of families and our youth is real, especially in our rural communities. We all want a quick fix, but we have to go back to square one, and For All Seasons is the key. We need to support kids' mental health in elementary through high school – not wait until they are older and facing a crisis. Strong mental health resources are essential for our community. For All Seasons is that place for schools, families, and businesses to turn to,” said Scott Warner, Executive Director, Mid-Shore Regional Council.
For All Seasons continues to look for ways to address the mental health crisis in Maryland. A year ago, the agency launched an innovative method to eliminate its waitlist and allow individuals and families to begin mental health services in a timely way. For All Seasons’ “Open Access” program allows individuals to select a time window and a location, complete their intake and meet with a therapist on the same day. Open Access is the first mental health delivery model of its kind on the Eastern Shore.
For All Seasons provides the highest quality mental health and victim services to children, adults, and families across Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Services are offered in both English and Spanish and include therapy, psychiatry, victim advocacy, 24-hour crisis hotlines, outreach, and community education.
