Briefly Describe Your Business: Fit Flock is a small fitness studio located in the Chestertown Business Park. We offer personal training, small group classes, virtual training, fitness nutrition consultation, and run coaching.
What Makes Your Business Unique/Sets You Apart? At Fit Flock, we recognize every Flocker (client) is different and has a different set of needs and goals. We emphasize strengths while working on weaknesses. We keep it upbeat and positive, which helps with motivation. Our goal is to make visits to Fit Flock (in-person or virtual) one of the best parts of the day. We also continue to advance our knowledge and expertise by staying up-to-date on the latest fitness and health trends. We keep fitness fun by changing the workouts daily, so Flockers are never bored. There's also "Fit Flock Friday's" showcasing a 30-second video of me doing an exercise with my chickens, which are the inspiration behind the business name and logo.
Why Did You Join The Chamber? To become more networked with the community. To learn from successful local business owners what is working and what isn't.
What Do You Like About The Kent County Community? Kent County is my hometown. I was born and raised here and it holds a very special place in my heart. With the exception of going to Virginia Tech for 4 years, I've lived here my whole life. I love the small-town feel. I love the passion people have for this community. I'm one of them. I love the way this community comes together to support each other, during good times and bad.
What Do You Like About Doing Business In And Around Kent County? I love the ability to network easily. If I don't know how to do something with my business, I just start asking around and it doesn't take long to get an answer or solution. I feel like small business owners here mostly are rooting each other on. We also refer business to one another, which is an awesome win-win.
Is There Anything Else You Want Members To Know About Your Business? Fit Flock is just getting started. I've got big dreams of getting the community more excited about health and wellness. I'm working on a Health Coach certification now, to advance my knowledge and capabilities to better help individuals and the community. I love personal training and teaching small group classes, so if that's something you're interested in, I'd love to have you in the flock.
