Nancy Mugele, Head of Kent School announced the appointment of three new employees who joined Kent School on July 1, 2025. Lizmarie Naaldijk, Assistant Head of School for Finance and Operations, has most recently worked as the Director of Accounting and HR at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Pikesville, MD. In her role, in a service industry, she understands well the importance of customer service and communication. She is described by her references as a person of high integrity as well as a high energy, hard worker. Mugele said, “We witnessed her energy and positivity during her initial School visit. I know she will be a great asset to our team!”
Sarah Aikin has joined Kent School as Administrative Assistant, and comes from Queen Anne’s County public schools where she has served as the Administrative Secretary. Her references noted her exceptional performance, and her remarkable adaptability. Mugele continued, “Sarah has hit the ground running and is eager to learn our systems. I know our families and employees will enjoy working with her.”
Tricia Mooney, a 1983 graduate of Kent School, was promoted to the role of Director of Development and Alumni Relations and she brings past experience from The Gunston School to her new role. Previously, Mooney was the Administrative Assistant at Kent School. “Tricia brings infectious and inspiring energy to the Kent School community. I am delighted to be working with her in development, fundraising, and alumni engagement,” said Mugele.
Joining the faculty, Patrick Arnold has been named Middle School Academic Coach. Arnold comes highly recommended from Camp Tockwogh, where he is a counselor, and also from his recent school, St. Andrew’s Day School, where he served as an assistant teacher and athletic director. His former Head shared that he is a rising star. Patrick is excited to join Kent School to launch the Middle School academic coaching program offering targeted support and individualized plans for students. Mugele said, “I was impressed by Patrick's enthusiasm and readiness to tackle the opportunities associated with his new role in a new school.”
