The Garfield Center for the Arts has opened its annual call for play and musical titles for production consideration. Suggestions and proposals can be made by Directors who would like to present a play or musical in the 2023 season as well as by interested community members, patrons of the Garfield Center and arts participants.

Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields’ hilarious play of mayhem, mishaps and a disastrous opening night for a company of hapless amateur actors opens the season for the Garfield Center for the Arts. The Play That Goes Wrong is the brainchild of London’s Mischief Theatre Company.

The Garfield Center for the Arts has finished planning for its first full slate of theatrical productions since 2019. The 2022 season will feature two comedies, a thought-provoking and well-timed drama, a big, splashy, family-friendly musical, and the return of everyone’s favorite annual short play festival.

The Garfield Center for the Arts to Hold Auditions for "Shrek the Musical" September 7, 9, 12

The Garfield Center for the Arts is preparing to begin work on its 2021 season-closing production of “Shrek the Musical.” Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a side-splitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire.

The Garfield Center Announces Auditions for this Year's Edition of Short Attention Span Theatre

As part of its efforts to reopen to public performances, the Garfield Center for the Arts is planning an outdoor summer edition of its popular annual Short Attention Span Theatre. Auditions for SAST will be held at the Garfield Center on Thursday, June 10th at 6:30 PM, Sunday, June 13th at 2:00 PM and Tuesday, June 15th at 6:30 PM.
