Crossroads Community and Corsica River Mental Health Services are hosting True Colors: Mental Health Awareness Art Show and are looking for artists in the Eastern Shore community and beyond. Entered artwork will be displayed at the Todd Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College, October 3 through October 6, recognizing Mental Health Week. An Artists' reception will follow on Mental Health Awareness Day, October 7, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Pink Polar Bear Golf Tournament Returns to Chestertown
Members of the Chester River Yacht & Country Club organized and participated in the 11th annual Pink Polar Bear Golf Tournament on Sunday, July 24, raising over $2,600 to benefit patients served in the Eleanor & Ethel Leh Women’s Center at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. This year’s event attracted 65 club members and guests.

Restoration Projects Enhance Kent County Parks, Protect Area Waterways
This fall, ShoreRivers will lead restoration projects in two Kent County, MD public parks that will reduce sediments and nutrients that pollute the Sassafras River. These projects are supported by a $970,000 grant from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Trust Fund specifically dedicated to Eastern Shore High Priority Areas.

RiverArts Celebrates 10th Anniversary with a Community Street Festival
The RiverArts Street Festival called !magine is a community street festival along High Street on Sunday, September 11 from 1:00 to 6:00 that will include family fun for everyone: arts and crafts activities for all ages; artists selling their work; hands-on community arts projects; quick draw, photography, and sculpture competitions; music and food. It will be a fun way to celebrate RiverArts 10th Anniversary, a chance to re-engage with the community after the pandemic slowdown and a reminder of the value of arts to our community.
Benedictine is Beneficiary of Godfrey's Farm 5K Walk/Run
Godfrey’s Farm held its 2nd annual Blueberry Boogie 5K Walk/Run with 216 participants walking or running in the race. The event attracts runners of all ages and experience, and the event raised over $15,000 to support Benedictine’s programs that provide crucial services for moderate to severe developmentally disabled children and adults.
