Kent School’s Annual Auction Features Magician

Kent School looks forward to hosting our annual auction: The Magic Happens Here, Saturday, April 20 from 4:30-9:30 pm. The Auction will take place at Kent School’s riverside campus in the M.V. “Mike” Williams Gymnasium. The Magic Happens Here features the magical talents of magician Mike Rose. Rose will perform throughout the event including a stage show at 6:45p.m.

The Auction will begin with a preview reception at 4:30p.m. General admission will begin at 5:30p.m. with the start of the silent auction when cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served. General admission tickets are $75.00. Tickets that include the private Preview Party and auction are $100.00. Reserved tables for four, eight or ten people may also be purchased. All ticket prices include an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and dinner buffet.

At 6:45p.m. Mike Rose will take center stage. For the past 25 years Mike has performed his comedy magic shows in 25 states and Canada. Rose (The Magic Kinda Guy) has honed his comedy magic presentations at dinner theaters, comedy clubs, the Vice Presidential Mansion for former Vice President Al Gore (on repeat occasions) and even at the Presidential Inaugural Dinner for George W. Bush. Now for one night only, he performs for Chestertown at Kent School! A DJ will be on hand for dancing following the magic show and live auction.

In addition to Mr. Rose’s performance, the Kent School auction will offer a variety of wonderful auction items including gift certificates, vacation opportunities, event tickets and more. It is always special when the community joins us in support of Kent School, and we can enjoy being together in a fun and festive atmosphere. The MAGIC does indeed happen at Kent School both in our classrooms and at special events like our annual auction. We are especially grateful for the magic of all of our donors and sponsors.
