Camp New Dawn invites the community to its annual fundraiser on Thursday, June 18, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at the 4-H Park in Centreville. This year’s event will feature a new location and an expanded family-focused atmosphere filled with food, music, games, and community support, all benefiting Camp New Dawn’s grief support programs for children, teens, and families.
Guests can enjoy outdoor yard games, silent auction, and a special lucky draw for children throughout the evening. Returning musician Ryan Forrester will provide live music entertainment, while local favorites Adam's Ribs will serve a barbecue dinner. Kindred Spirits will also be on-site as the event’s mobile bar vendor. Please note the mobile bar will accept cash and Venmo only.
The fundraiser supports Camp New Dawn, a program that has provided specialized grief support to children, teens, and families for 32 years.
“Our annual fundraiser for Camp New Dawn is an important event because it helps make compassionate, specialized grief support available to children, teens, and families who are navigating the loss of a loved one,” shared Rhonda Knotts. “Through Camp New Dawn, young people and their caregivers find a safe, understanding community where they can express their feelings, build healthy coping skills, and begin to heal together. The support raised through this event helps ensure that families can access these life-changing services when they need them most, giving hope, connection, and comfort during one of life’s most difficult journeys.”
Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and support Camp New Dawn’s mission of bringing hope, healing, and connection to grieving families.
