On Saturday, April 24th volunteers came together to provide needed repairs on four homes in Butlertown. Ranging from replacing a rotten fence and dangerous steps to installing native plants and painting a wheelchair ramp, the 22 volunteers worked from 9 until a little after noon to accomplish these projects for neighbors who requested a helping hand.

The Kent County Commissioners have proclaimed April 30, 2021 William W. Pickrum Day. Former County Commissioner William Pickrum passed away recently on April 15, he was 73. Commissioner PIckrum was elected to the Kent County Board of Commissioners in 2002 and served the residents of Kent County for four terms until 2018.
Harris Announces Release of Supplemental H-2B Seasonal Guest Worker Visas
Congressman Andy Harris, M.D., announced today that pursuant to the Harris Amendment allowing the release of supplemental H-2B visas as adopted to the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, which passed into law in December, the Department of Homeland Security has announced a supplemental allocation of 22,000 additional visas for the 2021 fiscal year.

General Manager Woodrow “Woody” Loller is retiring after 20 years of dedicated service to the Haven Harbour Marina Resorts community. Hired in 2001 as service manager of Haven Harbour Yacht Services, Woody oversaw the continued success of our area’s most trusted full-service yachting facility for 11 years before being named general manager in 2012.
