High school PTSA holding paintball fundraiser
The Kent County High School PTSA is holding a paintball fundraiser. The event is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at Outdoor Xtreme in Chesapeake City. Tickets are $10 each for admission and full equipment — a $35 value. Paintballs are not included; they will be sold separately.
Young sculptors at Rock Hall Elementary get a new kiln
With the assistance of the Kent Cultural Alliance, the new art room at Rock Hall Elementary School has received an important upgrade. As part of the now-complete targeted renovations at Rock Hall Elementary School, a brand-new art room was created.
Lions Club donates to Garnet's One School, One Book program
Every student in H.H. Garnet Elementary School has started reading the same book thanks in large part to a donation from the Chestertown Lions Club.
For this year's One School, One Book program, Garnet students will be reading "the Chocolate Touch" by Patrick Skene Catling. The Chestertown Lions Club has donated money to the One School, One Book program for a number of years now. This year's donation of $2,000 helped the school purchase 370 copies of "The Chocolate Touch."
Bayside H.O.Y.A.S. Host Easter Eggstravaganza
This year we will have our Community Easter event, which is on Saturday, April 16th, 2022, in partnership with Washington College. This event will rival the Bayside H.O.Y.A.S., Inc Easter events of the past with NEW and EXCITING ways that the whole family will enjoy!
Genevieve Croker Named Executive Director of Countywide Organization
The Board of Directors of Rebuilding Together Kent County is pleased to announce the appointment of Genevieve Croker as Executive Director, effective March 1, 2022. She succeeds Wayne Rickert who took a position in Rebuilding Together’s national office to work with volunteer-led affiliates across the country.
