Career seekers are invited to a Kent County Public Schools job fair at the end of this month. Come out to Kent County High School in Worton from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 29 for the school system's job fair. Kent County Public Schools (KCPS) is looking for teachers, but the variety of positions available is much wider.
Auditions for the Garfield Center's Short Attention Span Theatre 2023 to be Held May 2nd, 4th, and 6th
Auditions for this year’s SAST will be held at the Garfield Center on Tuesday, May 2 at 6:30 PM, Thursday, May 4th at 6:30 PM, and Saturday, May 6th at 2:00 PM. For the production, the GCA is seeking actors and stage crew. Auditions will consist of cold readings from scripts being considered for presentation.

Title I Meeting for Families April 26
Kent County Public Schools invites parents and families to a special meeting this month to learn more about Title I schools. The Title I Parent and Family Engagement Meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 26 at H.H. Garnet Elementary School in Chestertown. This meeting is held annually to help families stay engaged and learn about the opportunities offered under Title I.
Mid Shore Behavioral Health, Inc. Hosted a Successful SIM Conference Addressing Youth and the Juvenile Justice System
Mid Shore Behavioral Health, Inc. (MSBH) held a successful 9th Annual Sequential Intercept Mapping (SIM) Model Conference in Cambridge, MD on Friday, February 3rd, 2023, with the theme of Youth and Juvenile Justice. Unlike most conferences, the SIM conference serves as a strategic planning tool involving the community to help identify gaps and barriers along a continuum of intercepts.
WKHS Students Visit Partner Station in Philadelphia
It was field trip years in the making when about 20 Kent County High School students boarded a Philadelphia-bound bus Friday, March 31. The students are all members of the broadcasting Career and Technical Education pathway at the high school. Local radio listeners likely recognize them as the voices of 90.5 FM WKHS.

Brigade of Blue to Hold Community Concert
Before the Kent County High School marching band heads down to Georgia for its biggest competition of the year, it will host a local concert offering community members a preview of their showpieces. The Brigade of Blue will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 in the Kent County High School auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
College and Career Fair at KCHS
Students and community members are invited this month to a fair at Kent County High School geared toward career planning. On Thursday, April 20, Kent County Public Schools and the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education (MRBT), with sponsors BW Health Group, the Kent County Chamber of Commerce and the Upper Shore Workforce Investment Board, present the Kent County High School College and Career Fair. Free and open to students in grades 9 through 12 and to the community, the College and Career Fair will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the high school's Trojan Arena.
