Kent School proudly announces the retirement of beloved educator Karen Schauber after 36 years of dedicated service in the Little School. In recognition of her extraordinary impact on generations of students, the Kent School Board of Trustees has voted to name the Little School in her honor. It will now be known as The Karen Schauber Little School.

The Mainstay in Rock Hall will present Byrd Is the Word, a special Charlie Byrd tribute concert, on Saturday April 25 at 7:30 PM. The event celebrates the musical legacy of legendary guitarist Charlie Byrd and will feature an outstanding trio of jazz musicians including drummer Chuck Redd, guitarist Nate Najar, and bassist Herman Burney performing music associated with the renowned Charlie Byrd Trio.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a time to strengthen awareness and honor the resilience of survivors. For All Seasons, the Behavioral Health and Rape Crisis Center for the Mid-Shore, is increasing outreach and education by offering public events and online trainings in the hopes that the community will gain a deeper understanding of the issue of sexual violence in our community and how to access resources.

The Mainstay in Rock Hall is pleased to welcome the very accomplished young musicians of the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra (CYSO) on April 19 at 4:00 PM. This special concert will showcase ensembles and soloists from this acclaimed non-profit youth orchestra program based in Annapolis. The CYSO, now in its 36th season, serves students from 8 years of age through 18 from throughout the region.

UM Shore Regional Health Hosts Service Challenge
University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UM SRH), a member organization of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), hosted a service challenge for team members from mid-January through February in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. UM SRH teams were invited to participate in any service event benefiting our local communities.
