The Historical Society is marking its 85th year, having been founded in 1936 by a group of local citizens dedicated to collecting and sharing the stories of our county. It is headquartered at the Bordley History Center, located in the heart of downtown Chestertown at 301 High Street. The Center houses the Society’s museum, gift shop, research library, and administrative offices. Although the museum’s hours are limited due to Covid, its window exhibits at the corner of High and Cross Streets are always open.
