Every year one of RiverArts’ most popular shows is the Holiday Show and Sale. Through December 22 this year, shopping for that special gift for a family member, a friend, or maybe even yourself will be as enjoyable as ever, but even more accessible.

rThreat (rThreat.net), the first company to develop a SaaS solution that identifies known and unknown threat artifacts for the real-time measurement and validation of cybersecurity tools, is proud to announce that Scott Gornall is the newest advisor on rThreat’s Board of Advisors.

The Garfield Center’s “(Stay) Home for the Holidays!” will be a family-friendly video program to enjoy during the holiday season. The resulting feature-length program is produced by GCA Executive Director Steven Arnold, and its performance run begins online on December 4th and will remain available for ticket buyers through December 20th.

In a welcome and surprising move, Santa Claus is making arrangements to chat with Kent County children via Zoom, the popular app used for online meetings, and to work with his Elves to answer letters children drop in the mailbox of his Santa cottage in Fountain Park.

Chestertown will celebrate the holidays safely this year with activities that include visits with a masked Santa, a Holiday Art Walk to downtown galleries, free horse-carriage rides, and live music. Learn more by clicking the story.

Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of two U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development grants to the upper shore, totaling more than $120,000. Specifically, Talkie Rural Broadband in Chestertown has been awarded $94,000 to fund the installation of fiber infrastructure to allow high-speed internet access for the Main Street vicinity in downtown Chestertown.

The Kent County Chamber is thrilled to welcome Holli Mathison and Friendship Montessori School as a new member. Mid-Shore Pro Bono, a non-profit organization on Maryland’s Eastern Shore that provides free access to legal services to low-income community members, today announced the relocation of its Chestertown office to 205 South Cross Street in downtown Chestertown.
