Kent School is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its first in-person Admission Event in nearly two years. Families who are interested in learning more about Kent School are invited to visit the School on Friday, March 25.
Safer Steps Mean Safer Homes for Two Rock Hall Residents
On Friday the 11th and Saturday the 19th of February, Rebuilding Together Kent County volunteers worked hard to make it safer for two neighbors to get in and out of their homes. Originally scheduled for the Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., bad weather forced the two projects to be postponed.
MINI-GRANTS Available for Kent County Artists!
The Kent Cultural Alliance announces grants for artists in Kent County. These are one-time grants for $500 and are open to any artist who is a resident of Kent County. This will be a one-time cash grant, made possible by emergency funding from the Maryland State Arts Council that requires a simple application which does not include any financial information.

ShoreRivers Concludes First-Ever Watershed Assessment of Bayside Creeks, Kent County
ShoreRivers recently completed a yearlong assessment of the Bayside Creeks watershed, comprising Still Pond, Churn, Worton, and Fairlee Creeks in western Kent County. This was the first time a comprehensive assessment has been conducted for these four waterways, culminating in the Bayside Creeks Watershed Assessment and Action Plan.

Mentoring program aims to enhance education experience for Black boys in schools
A mentoring program launched in the fall at Kent County High School is already expanding to bring in more students and more community members who want make an impact on a child's life. The program was organized by Dr. Angela Holocker, coordinator of student services for Kent County Public Schools and interim principal at Kent County Middle School.

Middle school musicians make All Shore Honor Band
Three young musicians at Kent County Middle School earned spots in the Eastern Shore Band Directors Association All Shore Honor Band this month. KCMS Trojan Band members Sophie Cousineau, Sebastian Cousineau and Björn Birkmire earned seats in the All Shore Honor Band following an audition at Colonel Richardson High School in Caroline County on Saturday, Feb. 5.
