The radio station at Kent County High School recently celebrated 48 years on the air with a 48-hour marathon broadcast and membership drive. The air-a-thon kicked off at 9 a.m. Friday, March 25 and ran through 9 a.m. Sunday, March 26.

United Way of Kent County has announced that Elizabeth Everett, Executive Director for the past ten years, will retire before the next fund-raising campaign. During her tenure, the organization has made progress in increasing donations resulting from workplace campaigns and has welcomed new businesses into the program. This year a total of 27 non-profit agencies received funds.
The Garfield Center Calls for Director and Title Submissions for 2023 Season Productions
The Garfield Center for the Arts has opened its annual call for play and musical titles for production consideration. Suggestions and proposals can be made by Directors who would like to present a play or musical in the 2023 season as well as by interested community members, patrons of the Garfield Center and arts participants.
